During the day today, Milton & Bedford Fire Departments made 3 motor vehicle accidents. First one around 4:30 at Hwy 42 E and Bells Ridge Rd. This was a two vehicle accident with one patient flown out.

Today we made a record breaking amount of runs for the year. We have never been over 125 for a yearly total. Today we hit run # 126 which is the most runs in the history of the department that we are aware of.

A Trimble County teen was killed and two were injured late Monday night when the car they were in left the roadway of U.S. 421 South in Bedford and hit a tree, Kentucky State Police said. Darian Davidson, 15, of Bedford, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 2-year-old girl died Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 421 in Trimble County, Ky. Brad Arterburn, public information officer for the Kentucky State Police, said the child ran out into the middle of the road and was struck by a vehicle that was southbound.

At 10:24 a.m., Milton Fire & Rescue was dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 1492 and Hwy 421 N for the report of a two vehicle injury accident. 8504 arrived on scene and found two vehicles in the roadway with patients trapped.

On April 13th and 14th Carroll County Memorial Hospital held a yard sale and bake sale with all proceeds going to the Milton Fire Department to help with the recent tornado damage to the fire house. McNeal’s Hardware generously donated a 24” Toshiba TV for CCMH to raffle off.
Chief Long along with other members of Milton Fire & Rescue will be attending FDIC in Indianapolis this year. FDIC is one of the world's largest fire conventions. You are able to take advanced training or just visit the thousands of vendor booths.
