Our Station # 2 was hit by a tornado on March 2nd 2012. We lost our Station, an Engine, Fish Fry trailer, john boat and trailer, some radios, pagers, gear, and uniforms. The fish fry trailer is what makes our money to operate the department since we are a non-taxing area and rely on donations only. We are asking for your help to help us re-build after this incident. Our insurance can only do so much and then it is up to us to do the rest. We appreciate anything you can do for us. Thank you for your support and we will re-build.
As with most volunteer fire departments the Milton Fire and Rescue Department relies on fund raisers, donations and grants as it's basic means of support. Posted below is our address if you would like to make a tax deductable donation. We accept your check or money order made out to the Milton Fire and Rescue and mailed to the attention of Chief Long . Please include a return address so that we may send you your receipt. Personal checks please allow up to two weeks for processing.
For residents that live in the Milton Fire Department district, your annual dues are $35.00 and can be mailed to the same address listed below. This covers you if you need Fire Department assistance in the Milton area for any reason for the year in which it was paid. If you do not pay your dues then you may be billed for our services at the scene. It is in the best interest of the citizens of our Fire District to pay the dues so you don't have to pay more for the services. If you have any questions please contact us.
